Coal Kitchen is situated in the historic Victorian warehouse, Pillar and Lucy house at Gloucester docks on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal. This Grade II listed building was built is 1834 and housed everything from corn to sugar imported from Mauritius and Jamaica.With stunning original features, it can be transformed into the perfect venue for your celebration.

Our spacious, fully licensed restaurant, bar, terrace and riverside balcony areas can be converted into dining, drinking and dancing areas respectively for over 120 guests and an additional 96 on the terrace and balcony. If that’s not enough, we have one of Gloucester’s best outdoor spaces with our Riverside balcony and terrace boasting some of the city’s iconic views and outside bar.

All our venue hire charges vary throughout the year. These are determined by month when your event will be taking place, time/day of the week and amount of guests for your event.
